Plan

Ford Motor Company is transforming its more than 60-year-old Dearborn facilities into a modern, green, high-tech campus. The project will colocate 30,000 employees from 70 buildings into primarily two campus locations over a 10-year period.

The centralized campus will further drive innovation and support Ford’s transition into an auto and mobility company.

Throughout, Ford Motor Company will work closely with the city of Dearborn on our master planning activities to ensure adherence to all city guidelines and to provide updates to residents on the project.

Neighborhood Updates

If new information is available, this section will be updated the first business day of the month.

February 2017 Update:

As work on our Dearborn Campus Transformation continues, we will begin installing auger cast test piles for a parking structure that will be built on Ford’s Research and Engineering Campus.  The new structure will be located on Ford property east of Edison Park.

We will use an auger cast test pile program that will greatly reduce the noise and vibration felt during our earlier testing  that included H-pile installations.

Preparation begins the week of February 6th with the installation of five 24” diameter drilled piers reinforced with steel and filled with grout.  Once the test piers have been installed and cured, we will begin load testing at the site which will continue for 3-4 weeks.
